Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 2026
Rundown is committed to making Cayman's events accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make digital content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive and neurological disabilities.
What we've done
- Screen readers. Interactive elements are labelled for VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android). Event cards are announced as a single control with their title, date, venue and price, and saving an event is available as a rotor / actions-menu action.
- Text size. Rundown follows your device's text-size setting and supports scaling up to 200%, as required by WCAG 1.4.4. Line spacing scales with it so text does not clip or overlap.
- High contrast. A High Contrast mode in Settings → Accessibility brightens secondary text and strengthens type weight.
- Colour. We do not rely on colour alone to convey information — status is always accompanied by text or an icon.
- Reduced motion. Decorative animation (pulsing glows, looping scan-lines, bounce effects) is disabled when your device's "Reduce Motion" setting is on, in line with WCAG 2.3.3.
- Touch targets. Interactive controls use enlarged touch areas.
- Accessible events. Organizers can declare an event as wheelchair accessible, and attendees can filter for those events.
Known limitations
We would rather tell you what is not yet working than overstate what is:
- Some third-party components (the map view and the Stripe payment sheet) are supplied by external providers, and their accessibility is outside our direct control.
- Wheelchair-accessibility information is declared by the event organizer and is not independently verified by Rundown.
- We have not yet completed a full independent accessibility audit, nor end-to-end testing with VoiceOver and TalkBack across every screen. Both are planned.
Accessible events at the venue
Accessibility at a venue is the responsibility of the event organizer. If you need specific arrangements, contact the organizer directly from the event page before purchasing.
